The
Above Window is the Public Restroom in Chris' Taverna,
a greek restaurant in Lantana, Florida. It took ten working
days to complete and I learned quite a lot with this one.
The Abandoned Ark (NEWBORN's ROOM)
Finished April 6th 2007 for Paul and Laura Nordstrom. I do not copy landscapes from photos so I spent 8 working days
developing the light and mood I wanted before any characters were
added. I Paint the initial landscape by blocking out fuzzy basic
shapes. Good or bad, it comes from the mind and develops as in a dream.

The
above mural was completed October 11, 2006 and was commissioned by
Helena Hoogterp of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She wanted a castle and
princess theme for her daughter Danielle. The room is 10 ft. high and
only 41/2 ft. of wall space at the top for a mural. A miniature
medieval world slowly developed with mounted nights, an angel, a
unicorn and birds inhabit the 360 degree scene.

The mural above represents the completion of a
"Textured Mural" depicting two mayan characters with their associated
mayan glyph names just below them. The wall is full of contrasting
texture, applied with varying methods and then painted with multi
layered dry brush applications. The tree branches and leaves extend
outward about 1/2 inch from the wall providing a natural framing arch
over the bed.

The CHILDREN'S PLAYROOM is dominated by life size figures both
fictional and realistic. Details of this mural show the wizard lifting
the baby and boat in the air. A blue boat emerges from who knows where
pulled by a seahorse. Children waiting for their ride flanked by a
unicorn. The waterfall is the inevitable drop off.
