COPS
MONITORING BEFORE MURAL STARTED
"COPS
COVE" Completed 11/27/08
Mark Taylor, of C.O.P.S. Monitoring in Boca Raton, FL.,
requested a mural for their cafeteria that had a Florida
atmosphere. I worked 17 days on this scene. Instead of
doing the typical beach scene I tried to show both coastal
and inland qualities of Florida.

John and Johnna Discippio of Stuart Florida wanted a mural painted on
the above wall in their Family room. They wanted a yacht and a jumping
dolphin included. I gave them a patio and extended their existing tile.
While they were away for a month I painted the mural below.

ABOVE:
After 3 1/2 Weeks of work they now have a private patio and beach, 13
birds, a jumping dolphin and a 144 ft yacht.

This is a BEFORE photo of a Pool and Spa Wall
The Denis Family of Port St. Lucie wanted a mural of the beach.
This particular wall had two challenges; a rough inconsistent texture
and a window of shade (production time) of about 5 1/2 hours a day. The
following is an example of how I think with any job. You will notice
that the spa and pool completely overwhelm the overall balance of the
patio area. My solution would correct this imbalance and enhance the
overall effect of the whole patio.

Each mural, is designed to solve a specific problem.
The wall defined the very nature (composition) of this mural from
the beginning. I extended the spa structure upwards to include the
clam shell, then added the tile background and put the focus on the
dolphin. The beach works well on textured walls when the paint
is blended in smooth gradations and the sky is as bright as possible.
